Privacy without the fuss: how we handle data on this site

We build things to last. And we think the web should work the same way: without sneaky tracking. That’s why mjbyggeri.se is designed to be genuinely privacy-friendly.

The quick version

  • No cookies. No banners. No “accept all”.
  • No tracking. We don’t profile you and we never sell data.
  • No remarketing. You won’t be chased around the internet after visiting.
  • Only what you give us. If you contact us, we use it to help you – nothing else.

1) Who is responsible?

The data controller is MJ Byggeri AB (legal name: Markus Johansson Byggeri i Ängelholm AB, company reg. no. 556831-0238).

Address: Söndrebaljsvägen 240, 266 97 Hjärnarp.

Contact details are shown via the contact module on this page.

2) Cookies and similar tech

We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, personalization, or analytics. That’s why there’s no cookie banner – there’s nothing to consent to.

We also avoid third-party embeds that typically pull in cookies. If we ever link to an external service, we do it as a normal link so you decide when you leave the site.

3) What do we collect?

Visits to the website: The site is built to work without collecting personal visitor data. In some cases, technical logs may occur at hosting/security providers (e.g., for security, troubleshooting, and blocking attacks). These logs are not used for marketing or profiling.

When you contact us: If you reach out by email or phone, we may process:

  • your name and contact details,
  • information you choose to share (e.g., project details, address for a site visit),
  • attachments you choose to send.

4) Why do we process data?

We use your details to answer your request, book a site visit, prepare information/quotes, and plan a job. If we agree to start work, we process what’s needed to perform the contract (planning, communication, administration).

The legal basis is typically legitimate interest (to help you) and/or contract. In some cases we must retain certain information for accounting and other legal obligations.

5) Do we share your data?

Not unless it’s necessary. We do not share data with ad networks or data brokers (nope, never).

For some projects we may share relevant information with qualified partners (e.g., certified trades) – but only to the extent required to deliver the job properly. We keep it minimal and purpose-driven.

6) How long do we keep it?

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose. Once an issue is closed and nothing requires follow-up, the data shouldn’t hang around. Some data may need to be stored longer when required by law (e.g., accounting).

7) Your rights

You can request access to your data, ask us to correct inaccuracies, and in some cases request deletion. You can also object or ask for restriction.

To use your rights, use the contact module on this page to reveal contact details and get in touch. If you believe something is handled incorrectly, you can contact Sweden’s data protection authority (IMY).

8) Changes

If we change how the website works or how we handle personal data, we may update this page. We’ll keep it clear, direct, and free from fluff – just like good craftsmanship.

FAQ

Clear answers about privacy, cookies, and contact data.

Do you use cookies or tracking on this site?

No. We use no cookies for advertising, tracking, personalization, or analytics. That means no cookie banner and no visitor profiling. We prefer the straightforward approach: don’t track people in the first place, and you don’t need consent popups to explain it away.

Why is there no cookie banner here?

Cookie banners usually exist to ask permission to track. When there are no tracking/marketing cookies, there’s nothing to consent to. We chose the simpler route: build the site cookie-free from day one, so you can read in peace.

Do you store IP addresses in logs?

Websites can generate technical logs at hosting/security providers (e.g., to block attacks, troubleshoot, and keep things stable). We do not use such logs for marketing or profiling. The goal is a secure, stable, cookie-free website — not mapping people.

What do you keep when I contact you?

When you reach out, we keep what’s needed to respond and help you move forward — typically contact details and what you choose to share about your project. If work starts, we may process what’s needed for planning and administration. We don’t collect details just to build marketing lists.

Do you share my details with anyone?

Not unless it’s necessary. We don’t share with ad networks or data brokers. For some projects we may share relevant info with qualified partners (e.g., certified trades) to deliver the work correctly. We keep it minimal and purpose-driven.

How do I request access or deletion?

Use the contact module on this page to reveal contact details and tell us what you need: access, correction, or deletion. We’ll help as far as the law allows. If you believe something is handled incorrectly, you can also contact Sweden’s authority (IMY).
